Custerfly facts:

  • Clusterfly are slightly larger and slower and have a faint golden sheen on their bodies. 

  • ​Unlike other flies they actually breed outside - their larvae feed on earthworms in soil. 

  • They will usually been located in loft, wall cavities and cracks and will return season on season to the same property. 

  • They do not pose a major health risk instead will cause a nuisance and will often leave small dark spots around windows, walls and ceilings. ​
